What we believe

An oak doesn't move the house.

It just stands over it. That is the whole idea behind Green Oak. Your parents keep their kitchen, their chair by the window, their Tuesday routine and their own front door key. We are the cover over that life, not a replacement for it.

Good care is something they barely notice, and something you can finally stop carrying by yourself.

What we do

Eight ways to stand over a house.

Start with one. Most families do, and most never need all eight.

How it starts

We meet them on their own sofa.

The hardest part is never the care. It is the first conversation. So we made that part free and easy to say no to.

01A caregiver and an older woman sitting together in a bright living room during a first visit

A free visit.

We come to the house. No cost, no commitment, no forms on the doorstep. They meet us in their own living room, which is the only place this conversation ever goes well.

02A caregiver and an older man talking warmly at a kitchen table in morning light

We match the person.

Not a roster and not whoever is free. One caregiver chosen for who they actually are, and you meet them before anything starts.

03A caregiver helping an older woman with groceries in a sunlit kitchen

We start small.

A few hours a week. Groceries, a bit of tidying, some company. It grows only when they want it to, and plenty of families never need it to.

The idea, in one gesture

Hold the canopy.

Press and hold the button. That is roughly what the first month feels like.

Press and hold to grow the canopy over the house. Releasing early lets it settle back down.
Did they eat? They ate at eight.
Did they take them?Taken, and ticked off.
Have they had a fall?They're fine. Here's a photo.

That is the whole product. You stop holding it alone.

The home care assistance was incredible. Not only has she taken great care of me, but also she is lovely to speak with at every appointment.

The real questions

The things people actually ask us.

"Mum or Dad doesn't want a stranger in the house."

Almost everyone says this, and it is rarely about the help. It is about pride. So we start as a helper rather than a caregiver: an hour of tidying, a lift to an appointment, someone to have a coffee with. They meet the person first and they can say no. Most of the time the stranger stops being a stranger in about two visits.

"What does it cost?"

It depends on the hours and the kind of care, so a number here would be a guess and you would be right not to trust it. What we can tell you is that the visit is free, there is no minimum contract to sign at it, and you will get a real number in writing before anyone starts. Most families begin with a few hours a week, which costs far less than people expect.

"Will it be the same person every time?"

Yes, that is the point. You get a matched caregiver, not whoever is free that morning. If they are ever away we tell you in advance and introduce the cover, because finding a stranger at the door is the fastest way to lose a family's trust.

"We only need a little help. Is that worth calling about?"

It is the best time to call. A few hours a week early on is easier for them to accept, cheaper for you, and it means someone is already in the house who will notice when things change.

"What happens at night?"

We do live-in and overnight care. Help to the washroom, medication reminders, an evening snack, breakfast in the morning. The office phone runs 8am to 6pm, and care itself runs around the clock.

"Are you licensed and insured?"

Licensed, insured and bonded. Every caregiver is background checked and reference checked before they set foot in a home. We have been doing this across all eight cities we cover for over five years.
